Do Good by Doing Well

A little background about me:

I grew up in the Park Hills neighborhood of Spartanburg, SC.

I have heard this John Wesley quote for many years:

“Do all the good you can,

By all the means you can,

In all the ways you can,

In all the places you can,

At all the times you can,

To all the people you can,

As long as ever you can.”

A while back, a good friend shared a book with me from Charles Koch, called:

 BELIEVE in PEOPLE: Bottom-up Solutions for a Top-Down World

• One of His motto’s is: “Do well. Do Good.”

This book, early on, Koch says (paraphrased) … every person can make a difference. Some good. Some bad.

Then, in a discussion of “Principled Entrepreneurship” he talks about “doing well by doing good”

For me, I am growing more to like Do good by doing well!

• Mainly because for us to grow - we must serve others
